Handing over is one of the most important parts of a doctor's job; we hand over both information and responsibility to ensure that patient care is never compromised, and our colleagues are always well enough equipped to deliver excellent clinical care. It is a teamwork exercise, and we believe that this concept of teamwork among doctors should be a broad one.
